Recent reports into workplace mental health found that work-related mental health issues now cost the UK economy £57.4 billion each year, nearly doubling in recent years. Financial pressure is now the top external stressor, affecting 41% of employees, an increase from 37% last year, but there are many factors that impact our mental health and our physical health. 25% of UK workers feel unable to cope with workplace stress. Sadly 45% of the UK workforce feel unable to talk to their managers about their mental health for fear of stigma.  There is so much that can be done to support the wellbeing of our people and organisations that implement mental health training for managers report a 30% reduction in mental health-related absences.

My focus is on how we can support our employees, our people. 1 in 4 of us will experience mental health issues each year and we don't always find support readily available, accessible or encouraged.

Mental Health First Aid training enables us to really listen, show empathy, reduce stigma, promote wellbeing and provide the resources and confidence to guide our loved ones, friends and colleagues to professional support. It is a valuable part of the wider strategies that employers should have in place to promote wellbeing at work.

What matters most to me is that people are treated with kindness and respect whatever journey they are on. I'd love to share my passion for this with you...
