i'm Hannah
I am a trainer with Mental Health First Aid England, the Charlie Waller Trust, Bravemind and Junah. I am totally committed to making workplaces and education settings kinder and happier places to be. I train the NHS, education settings and many other organisations large and small from a vast array of sectors.

A recent report by Deloitte shows that work-related mental health issues now cost employers £51 billion each year. Presenteeism is the largest contributer to this figure, where people work when they are unwell and not able to perform to their full ability. 63% of those surveyed for the report said they were exhibiting at least one sign of burnout. Another survey by CIPD found that just over half of respondants felt that their organisation is supportive of mental health and facilites open conversations, sadly that leaves a large number who aren't.

My focus is on how we can support our employees, our people. 1 in 4 of us will experience poor mental health each year and we don't always find support readily available, accessible or encouraged. We have also seen an increase in mental illness and people needing support during crisis. Workplaces, communities and education settings can play a key role in supporting someone to access help when they need it most.
We know through research carried out across England this year that the majority of people are compassionate and want to help, however many are unsure of how they can help, what language to use, and crucially how to support a person in crisis. I take pride in giving these skills to people so that they can not only support others but also look after their own mental health and wellbeing.

What matters most to me is that people are treated with kindness and respect whatever journey they are on. I'd love to share my passion for this with you...
