Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.  Just like physical first aid, it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis. I am a quality assured instructor and am trained to keep people safe and supported while they learn.  I am employed by a large NHS trust as their in-house instructor.

Suicide First Aid training teaches the skills and knowledge needed to identify someone who may be thinking about suicide and competently intervene to help create suicide-safety as a first aid approach. The course is accredited to City and Guilds (6 credits at Level 4).

The 'Where's Your Head At' campaign has been gathering support from all political parties with the goal of changing legislation placing mental and physical first aid equally in the workplace. So training your organisation now means you will be ready with a happier and healthier team.

Research and evaluation shows that taking part in a MHFA course raises awareness and mental health literacy, reduces stigma around mental ill health, boosts knowledge and confidence in supporting those with mental health issues and promotes early intervention which enables recovery.

I can provide in-house training or online training.  I'd be very happy to talk to you about your current wellbeing agenda and show you how MHFA can integrate into your current offering.
